Solomon Maxx's bio
Solomon Maxx is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. He produces two styles of music, electronic dance-pop and modern classic rock. Graduating with his Master’s in Public Administration from GW back in May of 2017, Solomon Maxx put aside a career in public service to pursue his dream of being a music artist. He believes in the power of music to connect people from different walks of life, and he has made it his mission to start rEVOLutions of LOVE in the lives of others with his music.
Born in small-town Louisville, Tennessee, Maxwell Solomon Tingle was in and out of school choir and piano lessons throughout his childhood, and in middle school, he started writing poetry. By high school, he was turning his poems into songs and teaching himself computer softwares to compose instrumentals for his lyrics and melodies. After graduating high school in 2012, Solomon Maxx went to GW for his undergrad degree in business administration and international business. On the side of classes and internships, he kept writing and producing new songs.
After finishing his undergraduate degree in December 2014, Solomon Maxx spent the next nine months re-building a house with his dad, and during the summer of 2015, he produced the demo version of Fountain of Youth and took on the name Solomon Maxx. He then started his Master’s in Public Administration back at GW in the fall of 2015, and over the course of the next two years, he was in an out of studio to record and finish Fountain of Youth. Solomon Maxx self-released Fountain of Youth on April 30th (his birthday) before graduating in May of 2017.
His first studio album, Fountain of Youth, is an electronic dance-pop album that explores the pursuit of youth and generational solidarity with songs that add edgy synths and dancehall beats to traditional pop structure and incorporate bold moments of his signature pop-rap. Solomon Maxx is currently releasing his second studio album, ROYGBIV, which is introducing his modern classic rock style track-by-track over the six months leading up to the color concept album’s release on June 8, 2018. As he releases ROYGBIV, he is also releasing "xxclusive" content on his Patreon page.
